Motorola L7 and SHA3288S

Attention to who ever pick up my Motorola L7 onboard Comfort Cab SHA3288S on 25 OCT:

I LOST MY MOTOROLA L7 on the 25th October 2006 on a Comfort Taxi SHA3288S. Yes, the phone that i won at the Adventure Singapore 2006, the phone where i had to run , climb, swim absail, cycle to get. So if you happen to take a comfort cab on the 25th October between the time of 8.40pm to 10.30pm and happen to pick up a motorola HP please return it to ME. Yes! i know you took my phone during this period of time and TURN IT OFF on purpose and REFUSE to pick up my call and REFUSE to return my phone to me.

I am telling you there is such thing as karma out there. one day you are going to drop your phone somewhere and nobody is going to return it you. Nobody, and no one is going to sympathise with you because it is your karma. And also, you are going to be on my cursed list forever. You have a phone, you know how you are going to feel when you lost your phone. so for goodness sake, return my phone to me. my phone contains many pictures, contacts and memories that are irreplacable. so please, just return my phone to me.

To you it is just a phone that you can either sell to earn some quick cash, or use as a spare. You can get that easily, for that i would have to replace all my contacts, lost all my irreplace pictures, spend more money and go through all the troubles and emotional trauma. (NOT including getting scolded by my mum.) All this so that you can get a spare phone which you don't even have a charger for goodness sake! You have to buy another charger, while my spare Motorola charger is just going to sit at home collecting dust. So in all, I am telling you....

RETURN ME MY PHONE.

p.s. anyone with any leads of where my phone might be, or you out there decided that you already have enough fun playing with my phone and would like to return it to me. I can be contacted at irau_wei@yahoo.com.sg.

impatience

ok i admit.. i am a super impatience person. so therefore i cannot stand explaining many many times, the same thing over and over and over again... this ranks in my list of cannot stand people after the whinny people...

so when i call to ask abt TRAVEL INSURANCE... You don't answer " Oh, what VEHICLE number."

the whole conversation went like this:

me: Hi, i calling regarding my travel insurance, ref number xxx.

guy: oh, what vehicle number? ---> busy hammering away at keyboard

me: err no it is about my travel insurance claim.... blah blah blah

guy: *still busy hammering at keyboard* may i know what you are calling regarding?

me: [in my mind:$%#@*!] it is regarding my travel insurance blah blah blah ( for the second time)

guy: *continued hammering at keyboard and ignore me then finally* may i know the period of travel? --> ok at least it is a diff question.

me: july blah blah..

guy: hammered at keyboard.... oh is regarding the trip to vietnam in july?

me already at the end of patience: yes, blah blah blah (for the third time)

guy: oh reagrding that, it is ok if i get someone to check and get back to you?

me: yar fine. --> seriously anyone else will be better.

thats all... nothing solved...just simply wasting my time. i mean like seriously, oh man, go get a brain or ears or both lah. TOTALLY CMI.

why is the weekend so short?!!

WHY IS WEEKEND SO SHORT!! who ever invented the week? why is there only 2 days for weekend? that is not fair. we should have equal number of weekdays and week end... hmmm... like 3 days of weekdays and 3 days of weekend and alternate week of 1 day of weekend and weekday to make thing fair right? ok maybe that is a bit the trouble some... other wise we can employ a alternate week working scheme... like we work ofor one week then we rest for one week... cos seriously.. i really dun care if it is a weekday or a weekend.. as long as i dun need to go to work!! wahaha

Announcement

To All who Matters:

Yours truly (that's me) will be back in our beloved little island (also known as Singapore) on the 16th of September 2006.

yup i will be back soon. time passes really fast. and there is still so much i want to do in sydney. guess i will have to visit again, but not anytime soon i think. first because i am getting abit sick of the protein and carbo based food here. ( if i am starting to think about eating salad, something is seriously wrong...) then there is obviously the financial aspect of it, i simply have no money left. yup, i spent most of my money off, going on trips and buying stuff... and i haven't finish all the stuff yet.. oh no... that leads to another problem... i have NOT enough space to bring everything back!! and i want to buy krispy cream. (yum yum)

ok, enough of complains. on to more exciting stuff!! I CLIMBED THE SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE!!! cool right?! ok, it burn about 200AUD off my pocket... other than that it is preety cool... it is super cold up there and the wind speed is 45km/h ( sodespite putting on alot of weight, you can still feel the wind pushing you as you walk.) and the most important thing is that we saw the city cast a shadow of the bridge onto the sky. and the only place that you can see it is ontop of the bridge. and no sorry, there is no picture of that cos NO camera was allowed on the climb. BUT the guide did take a few pictures for us and charge us super ex for the photos, so in the end we can only afford 2 out of the five we took.... so here there are!!

we dressed like we are going for a space mission like that... with jump suit and high tech headphone that send vibration through the cheekbone... among other things that is hook on to us... haha

intoxicated

went to hunter valley yesterday. hunter valley is famous for wineries. so obviously it is a wine trip. so we set off at 8am and arrived at a small countryside place at about 11am where i proceed to have my pumpkin soup, hot chocolate and my first taste of alcohol of the day... it is know as the jungle juice... sold at at tarven right next to the breakfast place... the jungle juice is no juice at all containing 18% alcohol... i only had a small glass... but nearly peng... and that is not the end of it... went on to three different places, the McWilliam winery, the largest family run winery in hunter valley or australia.. hmm... cannot remember already, where we had our lunch of steak and more wine tasting... six different kinds here.. but don't ask me the names.. i seriously don't remember. i like the dessert the wine and the port....

i thought that was the end of alcohol for the day... the bus brought us to another winery, the McGuigan.... where we porceed to have MORE wine tasting.... the gold medal winning dessert wine is nice, but again don;'t ask me the name.... i think we had at least another 6 kinds, which i decide that to survive the trip i shouldn't drink all, cos i seriously don't want to drunk at wine tasting, so i took a sip and pass the rest to my friends, except the adward winning german white and the dessert wine.

then we hopped on to the bus and arrive at another location for some free time and my friend decide to taste more wine, and we went on to taste another 4...

the wine here is really cheap, and the winery is really interesting, maybe i should go further my studies and become a wine maker.

Stuff i bought:

the jungle juice
the McWilliam dessert wine
the McGuigan desset wine
a champange --> reserved =)

now my only problem is how do i get all the stuff home?!!!!

Unsucessful Attempt

attempted to run on saturday morning 19th August 2006. attempt failed. we got side tracked first by a huge toy shop then by university of sydney. yup, so that it. no further attempts to excersise since i got here and am just getting fatter and fatter with all the food i am eating. i think some divine help might be needed. haha. (and no mona, i am not going to take part in some marathon in sydney, or any running events)

since my camera is still spoilt, most of the pictures taken is with other people, but i will post up some of what i have. haha. of food mainly.

this is a typical breakfast that we eat every morning, the options consist of juicy mushrooms, scrambled eggs, grilled tomatos, sausages, bacons and toasts among other stuff...

This ice- cream is know as gelatissumo... not sure if i spell it correctly. the flavours here consist of mixed berries, strawberry and mango... it is really good, and i going to explore more flavours.
yup... that all the pictures i have of food at the current moment.... there is more food that there is to be seen......

Picnic By the Lake

Yeah! finally managed to post one picture! no, my camera is still not working, this photo is taken by one of my friend. =) thanks goodness there are like other cameras around. for lunch today we decided that we should have a picnic at the lake opposite our company. so we da bao our food, which is actually not very nice, from the company cafeteria and walk across to the lake for lunch. the view make up for the not so fantasic food and we have seagulls and other assorted birds joining us for lunch. =) we took quite a few pictures, but becos i am using dial up now, it take ages to upload 1 picture, so only got 1 picture. (obviously)

Yup, then for dinner, we went to town hall area for authenic korean food. the kim chi is damn nice. i think i am gaining weight like nobody business... haha but who cares...

yeah tomolo shops opening later, and can walk around somemore. if can will try to upload more pictures in the office. =)

3 1/2 movies and 1 Baileys

hey greetings from sydney! After 3 and 1/2 movies later and 1 baileys i finally arrived at sydney. Singapore Airlines is great way to fly. soon after we board the plane (which is packed fully) we were offered warm towels before the plane actually take off. Then, soon after we took off we were given our headset, i plunge into my first movie (no, no super mario for me this time). there is like 80 movies to choose from ( where do i have to fly to finish watching everything, that is if my eyes didn't pop out...). being a animation freak, i went for "over the hedge". Then, we had breakfast onboard.... there is like bread, butter, jam, tea and juice... which i dutifully finish. ( i hate to waste food). then i went into the second movie, "take the lead", not bad quite nice... then i decided that just watching movie is not enough, thats when the baileys comes in... ( dun worry i got self- control and dun intend to get drunk on a plane). Then it is the third movie "ice-age: the meltdown" (yup, i know another animation), then it is lunch, the food is nice, we have lamb curry with potato salad and bread, but i must say that the dessert is the best, triple chocolate ice- cream. yum yum. movie plus ice- cream what can you ask for. haha. then i finally decided to watch a german movie" fisherman and his wife" which i didn't manage to finish cos i landed in sydney already. argh... i want to know the ending... this is one time i hope that the flight could be abit longer. haha.

okay if you are wondering why there is no picture. this is because my camera gives up on me and i haven't even talk a single picture yet. ARGH. CMI.

Grand Finale

July race is over. Good fight TeamNUS. for the gals, it had been an amazing juorney, and thanks for the grand finale. i know you all will come back stronger next year. i have confidence in you all. =) Thanks to everyone that had been part of my dragonboat career up to now. thanks, really. To Sir, thanks, you had been one of the best coach i ever had.=)

As for the race, i would not say anything more, as you many others have already blog about the race and the results already. (i am lazy, i admit. refer to other people blogs.) and most importantly, the results doesn't matters, and it would not changed or erased what was felt. For those who think that we have lost, you are wrong. we have won, only we can understand why because you cannot see past the medals we have got, but we have. to these people, all i have to say i feel sad for for you, but too bad. haha.

i have no life. that's it. period.

for those who might have notice, the tagboard has dissapear (again). as usual the reason is due to the fact that i do not update my blog enough to generate traffic... haha... so i thought might as well take it down for now... when i have time to do more than breathe schools and trainings... i will put it back... so once again... do not expect regular updates. So much of goverment policy of having a five- days week to spend more quality time with family.bleach!

holiday summary

Holidays are over = school, project, lectures lab reports and tutorials are here again! for the last time... at least in the near future.

Since i am too busy in the holidays to blog as i have much better things to do like keeping my TV accompany and stuff, i shall do every thing at one shot in summary... haha...

(1) Standard Chartered Marathon.
7 hour of pure torture and endurance and 2 days of immobilisation= once in a lifetime experience all for a adidas finisher t. most importantly, thanks to the uncle who gave me tips along the way.. if not i really might have died for the t-shirts...

(2) kelong.
= nothing to do = eating is the only enjoyment

(3)Mount Ophir
make you miss the nature all over again. camping and the peace and green. also realised that i have detached from the outdoor life for so long that i had LOTS of trouble trying to find all my equipments. bleach. thanks mona, jul, cindy and wendy for all peace ( not much of it with the company) joy and laughters. for more details refer to other blogs. and most importantly is WHERE ARE THE PHOTOS?

(4) Chaperon (not sure if the spelling is correct) for my siblings
=i am the only one still on holidays
= being mistaken as parent and has to fill in forms for appeals and bring them to school and stuff

ok my holiday is not so exciting after all as eating sleeping slacking make up most of it.. but thats what a holiday is for isn't it? wahaha. so when is the next one?

seasonal blogger

i am a seasonal blogger... according to yirang and jul... wahaha... and i admit... okay... so to keep up with the tradition i shall post a post exam and regatta post... wahaha... my exam finish today... the air of freedom smell better... wahaha... today's paper is a test of how fast you can copy the textbook ( yes it is another open book), i am glad i chose to tag my textbook yesterday instead of trying to read everything... good bet. =)

okay for regatta, shan't say more, we will come back stronger next time, we will become stronger because we have to and we need to. most importantly, thanks to everyone who came down to watch the race, the ODACians, fiona, yilidan, hanlong, fengjia, janan. all the old birds, yunshan, serene, meiping, wendy, cheeling (who came down for both days), mona, xiao li tou and hanqi. thanks everyone, you all being there means alot. =)

Competition

Experimental chemistry open book paper is a competition between all the chemistry students of who has the most testbooks and who can flip the text books, lab manual, lab reports or what ever the fastest, which means who know the glossary the best... wahaha... being some one who does not read the textbook... i think i did quite well in searching for the stuff... wahaha.. but cannot finish... and don't know whether if it is correct anot as based on history, i got 4/10 for the last open book test... wahaha...

Tuesday, November 22, 2005

i am so stupid. bleach!! can't stand it myself.

exams

first paper on friday. today is thursday. totally no mood to study= in total deep shit. okay, i read through my organo lectures notes, but dun think that much of it is encoded in to my brain, most prob most of it is omega away. reason? my brain does not like to store boring stuff.

it is true that organometallic is one of the most interesting chemistry module that i have taken up to date, but like seriously (quoted from cindy), anything will be interesting if you dun need to force study it. just like if i force you to eat dim sum, it will not be nice, but if you chose to eat it yourself, then that will be a different case all together. this is the reason why i can remember details of harry potter, comics and movie but cannot remember a simple reaction mechanism from organic chemistry. i might be able to score A s if

(1) they make a anime, cartoon or movie out of all the core materials for every module, but interesting one, of course. no one want to watch a boring movie. oh yar, they can get brad pitt, jennifer garner, or sandra bullock to act in it, it would be even better.

(2) create audio books out of all my modules.

(3) best of all, simple make harry potter, j.d robbs, linda howards the main core materials. exam me on moives, comics and anime.

wahaha.

things that i would rather be doing instead of mugging in SRC conference room:
(1) Sleep
(2) Watch Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
(3) Read a interesting FICTION book
(4) anything else other than studying.

~life is short, dun waste it studying.

Tribute

This is a tribute to my grey nike shoebag ang my trusty Adidas shoes. My nike shoebag has been with me since i entered NUS and joined dragonboat, and it is the first official shoebag that i had bought (previously i had survived with plastic bags and all temporary means). it had been trustworthy and reliable, and had been serving me very well and went on many trips with me. My trusty adidas shoes is by no means my first pair of trackshoes but it had gone through thick and thin with me, through all the toturous training, enduring runs and endless OTOT and gym session and also my first and only half marathon. i had intend to give it the grand finale in Mount Ophir. Despite losing tonnes of other stuffs (if you know me weel enough you will have known), i had never lost my shoes before.

it is my stupid fault for falling asleep on the bus, and not being alert enough to make sure i have left anything behind when i alight the bus, but this is an important appeal to whoever is on the bus 156 heading towards clementi yesterday.

IMPORTANT APPEAL
To whoever onboard bus 156 and to whoever in the sixth ave area on Sunday 22/10/05 or simply anyone who has picked up my nike shoebag and shoes.
please kindly return thenm back to me. there are of not value to you. there not worth much. really.
for those who simply happens to be on this page by accident or for watever reasons, can simply help by spreading the words around. thanks.
if you really picked up them up, please contact me by leaving a tag or e-mail me. thanks.

Monday, August 22, 2005

The moment of enlightenment. from this moment onwards i am suppose to be more mature and responsible than i am 1 mintue ago as i officially turned 21. i can legally vote for who i want to be president (provided there is an election), i can marry whoever i want without parent consent (according to my friend and provided that there is someone i want to marry.) i can watch R21 movies (without sneaking in). i am suppose to be enjoying myself having all the fun in world, yet on the first few hours of this special day of my life, what the hell am i doing? typing lab report. haha. then i going to spend the better half of the day doing experiment and in school. all the way from 9am to 8pm. how exciting!

BUT luckily i did have my celebration and fun over the weekend. so there is that. i want thank my mother, for preparing all the food and drinks and everything, busying for the best part of the weekend and especially for tolerating 21 years of nosense from me.. haha... my brother who has been helping my mother preparing all the food and stuff and sacrificing your studying time... haha and my two sisters and my youngest brother (not sure he got help anot...) for preparing the little goodie bags for my friends (thats a surprise to me too), FYI: if you are at the BBq and never got the goodie bag... errr.. too bad? haha... and then there is Grace who help me serve everyone for the whole night and bbq the chicken wings for the whole night. (Grace, i owe one.. maybe i can repay you with more mango chicken?) and those who help out one way or another, or those who are simply there. and thanks for all the presents also. i really like them alot.(hey jo, huimin, liuhwen, huiying and pris, luckily it is not some dress with matching ear rings....) thanks!! hope you all enjoyed yourselves too. =)

thanks everyone!!

night cycling. everytimes i struggled up a slope i asked myself why am i doing this to myself (as usual). i could be at home doing something quiet like reading a book. watching a movie on vcd. or irritate the hell out of my siblings with my guitar. or watever... then i realise it is the company that matters and i would again sign myself up for another one. not forgetting the food, the speed when go down slope....

Wednesday, July 20, 2005

i am back from bangkok fat, broke but satisfied. it is a hell of good trip! wahaha.

some conclusions i came to during the bangkok trip.
(1) Valueair is much better than Malaysian Airline. the food is better (at least the rice is fully cooked and the vegetable is not limp) and the service is better ( you dun haf to call three times to ask for a glass of water and be ignored and air stewardess actually smile)

(2) First Hotel is definately not first. the hotel room is old and there are crockroahes in the room and around the hotel. (although it was much better after we change room.)

(3) i sux at the Bean game. investing in the third bean field is a mistake. the 65 push-ups and 6s situps i did is the proof of that. btw, wendy is the self-proclaimed bean queen.

(4) the 红白蓝 bag that i bought is a damn good investment (it is big and useful), despite it being damn orh-bit. (my mum have already claimed it to pack some of the stuff at home...)

ok here are some pictures i took during the trip.

The usual TP session when free time is on hand. taken near the catus garden at changi airport after mac breakfast. (just in case the in flight food turned out to be bad.)

our hotel and the best view i could get of out hotel lobby. actually... thats all there is to our hotel lobby. as compared to this...

the Asia Hotel that my sis stayed in.... but well the company well made up for the room. =)

Some of the stuff we did...

watched the mambo caberet show. quite interesting...

shop till we drop. (one of the must-do- thing in bangkok)

eat. (the another must-do-thing in bangkok)

photo taken while the rest was scrambling out of their seat because of a crockroache. but despite that must say that the food is nice.

seafood. the crab bee hoon is nice!

A&W. must have! (we conquered it twice. haha.)

Sell nice and cheap fried rice at 29 baht.

visit the temple. nice looking but boring. the temple of the dawn.

ok. that's all for now. still got tonnes of photos. might post it up again next time. =) wahaha.

back from the long awaited for penang race. didn't managed to take aloot of pictures due to the pathetically short battery lifespan of disposable batteries and the lack of memories space, but here are some pictures that i managed to captured when both the batteries and memory are cooperating. had a hard time trying to post all the pictures into one post... for those who know of a better and easier way of doing it pls leave a msg k? my pictures all appear as individual posts...

okay short recap of the trip.

091205
rushed home after training to finish packing my bag and make sure i didn't leave anything behind and bought the untrustworthy batteries for my camera. (which at that point of time i didn't know it is untrustworthy, total waste of money), met mona at hougang mall and took cab to the airport to meet the reat of the team at terminal 2 BK and prepare for check in.

here all the passports with the tickets ready for check in.

then there is the wrapping of all the paddles that are decorated with colourful tapes to be check in. paddles are not allowed on board the plane as they are considered dangerous weapons.

here is cheeling with the finish product waiting to be stuffed into a smelly army duffel bag.

here is iso with all the paddles stuffed into the duffel bag ready to be check in.

we are taking the malaysia airline heading for penang (duh!) flight MH658. picture a bit blur. think something with the setting of the camera. same goes for all the blur you might see later.

doing what we do best when we have too much free time and too many cameras. TPing while waiting for the check in.

sorry to say that this is not the plane we took to penang, we took a small malaysian airline plane with lousy in flight food. this is the plane parked to us.

finally we are off and on our way to penang. window view out of the plane.
penang race

this is the dinner that we had for the flight to penang. first taste of the rice that is soft on the outside and hard on the inside, which sort of become a constant through the trip and the unchewable vegetable that can only be found on malaysian airline and the salty chicken. the greenbean dessert is the won the most edible award out of the whole meal excluding the orange juice.

opening ceromony of the race, as you can see we are bored while waiting for the vip that we have to play with some long forgotten childhood games, and of course TPing.

after which we walk to this place called happy garden for dinner, they come with the free flow of the soft on the outside but abit hard on the inside rice (but i must say it is much better than the airline one.)

serene was "attacked" by a monkey on the way to dinner.

vic trying to feed the monkey with tomato and jade looking excited.

bananas paradise.

wayang we passed by on the way to dinner.

this is the entrance to our hotel, see the bags in yirang and miss sam hands? they are the little shopping we managed to do within 2km of the hotel. i got a adidas t-shirt for 40rm too.. and a navy blue t-shirt for 13rm.

our hotel room, which i shared with jane, it came equipped with 2 big single beds, fridge, balcony and a bathroom. for those with the corner room, it came equipped with two balconies. our and vic and wendy's room was seperated from the rest of the team in so ulu part of the hotel.

the hotel breakfast, the best meal in the whole day. this is just the first serving... there is still the eggs and the cereals...

at the race site, waiting for our race with the usual TPing, this is actually the second day of the race, forgot to bring down the camera for the training session and the first day. white singlets that you see were exchanged with other teams, mainly the australian teams. i exchanged with the australian black dragon... while some exchanged with the australian navy team beside us...

that is wendy and miss sam with a sign that we picked up from the floor.

cheeling and miss sam posing with out cha-pion paddles with the dam as the background.

wendy and angeline pretending to attained enlightenment....

the dam, the race course and launching point.

the launching point with a tiny whiny part of the stairs we have to climb for every set of the race. wanted to take a picture of the loooong stairs we had to climb but the memory space and the batteries ceased cooperation... the photos are not in order (dunno what happened) just look at the date and time of pic k? and please continue to click on the google ad. =)

training. that basically sum up my life currently until july i guess. and i guess if you are not in our team, what we actually do don't really concerned you (unless you are a spy from other teams...) and if are not a dragonboater, the details of our training will either a) make you think that we are bunch of crazy people that have nothing better to do with our holidays or b) make you bored to death even if you understand what i am talking about, but for more details on the training pls refer to my team-mates blogs (not only they are better writers (typers) then me, but basically I AM LAZY). tired basically sums up what i am feeling at the moment, that comes from all the trainings and hours spend in the sun as mentioned above. yup, so thats my life. can;t wait for the penang trip to break the routine (although it is still dragonboat, while at least it is a change of enviroment. not that i don't love kallang. i love kallang. really. believe me.)

last i want to thank my family members, first because you all are only few people who can stand me when i am in a irritable mood and endure the mood, no one else i know has attain that gong li yet. lastly, for making noise with my guitar when i try to create music, don't worry i will create music someday. really. thanks.
