this is the dinner that we had for the flight to penang. first taste of the rice that is soft on the outside and hard on the inside, which sort of become a constant through the trip and the unchewable vegetable that can only be found on malaysian airline and the salty chicken. the greenbean dessert is the won the most edible award out of the whole meal excluding the orange juice.

opening ceromony of the race, as you can see we are bored while waiting for the vip that we have to play with some long forgotten childhood games, and of course TPing.

after which we walk to this place called happy garden for dinner, they come with the free flow of the soft on the outside but abit hard on the inside rice (but i must say it is much better than the airline one.)

serene was "attacked" by a monkey on the way to dinner.

vic trying to feed the monkey with tomato and jade looking excited.

bananas paradise.

wayang we passed by on the way to dinner.

this is the entrance to our hotel, see the bags in yirang and miss sam hands? they are the little shopping we managed to do within 2km of the hotel. i got a adidas t-shirt for 40rm too.. and a navy blue t-shirt for 13rm.

our hotel room, which i shared with jane, it came equipped with 2 big single beds, fridge, balcony and a bathroom. for those with the corner room, it came equipped with two balconies. our and vic and wendy's room was seperated from the rest of the team in so ulu part of the hotel.

the hotel breakfast, the best meal in the whole day. this is just the first serving... there is still the eggs and the cereals...

at the race site, waiting for our race with the usual TPing, this is actually the second day of the race, forgot to bring down the camera for the training session and the first day. white singlets that you see were exchanged with other teams, mainly the australian teams. i exchanged with the australian black dragon... while some exchanged with the australian navy team beside us...

that is wendy and miss sam with a sign that we picked up from the floor.

cheeling and miss sam posing with out cha-pion paddles with the dam as the background.

wendy and angeline pretending to attained enlightenment....

the dam, the race course and launching point.

the launching point with a tiny whiny part of the stairs we have to climb for every set of the race. wanted to take a picture of the loooong stairs we had to climb but the memory space and the batteries ceased cooperation... the photos are not in order (dunno what happened) just look at the date and time of pic k? and please continue to click on the google ad. =)

training. that basically sum up my life currently until july i guess. and i guess if you are not in our team, what we actually do don't really concerned you (unless you are a spy from other teams...) and if are not a dragonboater, the details of our training will either a) make you think that we are bunch of crazy people that have nothing better to do with our holidays or b) make you bored to death even if you understand what i am talking about, but for more details on the training pls refer to my team-mates blogs (not only they are better writers (typers) then me, but basically I AM LAZY). tired basically sums up what i am feeling at the moment, that comes from all the trainings and hours spend in the sun as mentioned above. yup, so thats my life. can;t wait for the penang trip to break the routine (although it is still dragonboat, while at least it is a change of enviroment. not that i don't love kallang. i love kallang. really. believe me.)

last i want to thank my family members, first because you all are only few people who can stand me when i am in a irritable mood and endure the mood, no one else i know has attain that gong li yet. lastly, for making noise with my guitar when i try to create music, don't worry i will create music someday. really. thanks.

SIMBA:As you go through life you'll see
There is so much that we
Don't understand
And the only thing we know
Is things don't always go
The way we planned
But you'll see every day
That we'll never turn away
When it seems all your dreams come undone
We will stand by your side
Filled with hope and filled with pride
We are more than we are
We are one

KIARA:If there's so much I must be
Can I still just be me
The way I am?
Can I trust in my own heart
Or am I just one part
Of some big plan?

SIMBA:Even those who are gone
Are with us as we go on
Your journey has only begun
Tears of pain, tears of joy
One thing nothing can destroy
Is our pride, deep inside
We are one
We are one, you and I
We are like the earth and sky
One family under the sun
All the wisdom to lead
All the courage that you need
You will find when you see
We are one

offically stuck in YIH for 24 hours. in the same location. Throughout the 24 hours i had been try to kill myself by watching GEK1001 webcast, but much to no avail as you can see that i am still well alive at the moment... but i will not gurantee that i am sane and my mind is not corrupted with all the webcast... WAHAHA... will try again tomolo by watching the other half of all the GEK webcast... haha...

I believe that in NUS all kind attention that had they had turn the YIH air-con such that the temperature in the room represent that of a fridge for the fear that we will either decompose by studying too much or rot by sitting in the same position for too long. But seriously, IT IS TOO COLD. the only good point is that if you can't locate a fridge school... YIH will be the best alternative... it will definately work... guranteed plus chop plus stamped... just leave it at any part of the room... it is that simple. give it a try next time you can't find a fridge in nus. really.
